Danisha entered Hillcrest Platte County in January 2025 as a lost 17-year-old facing family struggles, trauma, and uncertainty. Over 426 days, she built a new path. She earned her HiSET, secured full-time work, and developed a savings after paying off her debt. She has even paid ahead on her bills. She also earned her permit, completed driving lessons, and got her driver’s license, giving her more freedom and confidence.

Danisha’s biggest growth happened on the inside. Through counseling, anger management, and hard personal work, she learned healthy boundaries, emotional control, and self-respect. She grew in faith at Life.Church Northland, where she served, recommitted her life to Christ, and was baptized. She also rebuilt trust with her father and stepmother, creating a strong family foundation. After graduating in March 2026, Danisha enrolled in college for nursing, and continues therapy. Today, she is stepping forward with healing, purpose, and hope, knowing her story is only beginning.
