Donice Mahan

Executive Director

Donice has been director of HPC since 2010. Having grown up in Platte County, she feels called to serve the community she calls home. Donice lives the verse, to whom much is given, much is expected. She is active in many faith based service organizations. Donice fully believes that God will accomplish more than we can ask or imagine through the gifts He has placed in each of us! She encourages you to put your gifts to work at HPC.

Karen Wagoner

Director of Operations & Events

The majority of Karen’s career has been spent in not for profit management. In conjunction with that she volunteered for many years with local not-for-profits and school district thru board governance. She derives great satisfaction from helping others succeed. Her favorite pasttime is spending time with family: husband Roger, daughters Emily & Megan, son-in-law Thomas and granddaughter, Gracie.  Born and raised in the Kansas City area, Karen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from John Brown University. Her favorite Bible verse:
Isaiah 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee

Tamika Jones

Case Manager

Tamika joined the Hillcrest family in 2016. Tamika has a heart for people and has been a case manager working with people from all walks of life. She is ready for her journey with Hillcrest. Tamika finds joy in watching the transformations that take place in a persons life while on a road to success.

Paula O'Hara

Office Manager - South Platte

Paula joined the Hillcrest Platte County team in August of 2015. While she was not looking for a job, she kept feeling the nudge to inquire about employment at Hillcrest Platte County. “I love the way that Hillcrest ministers to the poor and the ways they work to help the participants become self sufficient.”

Paula has served in both administrative and ministry positions, including serving as Director of Prayer Ministry. She is excited to watch God work in and through the lives of staff and program participants at Hillcrest Platte County. She prays with an expectant heart! One of her favorite bible verses is Jeremaiah 33:3  “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you unsearchable things you do not know.”

Stacy Johnson

Housing Program Director

Stacy started with Hillcrest in 2007 as a Case Manager’s Assistant, however, before coming to Hillcrest, she served in California as a missionary to the homeless living on the streets. She fell in love with the Hillcrest program because she saw how it could change a families life forever. After taking some time off, she has now returned to Hillcrest Platte County as our Housing Program Director in order to continue serving families and walk alongside those who are facing what seems to be insurmountable. Making her life rich are her three daughters, son-in-law, and her grandson. Stacy loves to help families realize their dreams and believes in the programs offered at Hillcrest are the best available to those looking to change their lives.

Debbie Williams

Young Adult Housing Program Director

Debbie joined the Hillcrest Platte County team in 2012 and has served Hillcrest in a variety of positions. She is stepping into the role as Young Adult Housing Program Director. Her background is in teaching and counseling with young adults for over 15 years in various ministries and educational settings. Her heart’s desire is to help the helpless and to give hope to the hopeless. Jeremiah 29:11 is a favorite verse that she loves to share and declare to people. For God knows the thoughts and plans He has for you, thoughts to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future!

Jim Beiter

Case Manager

Jim Beiter joined the Hillcrest Platte County team in 2017 serving as a Case Manager. Jim comes to us with 20 plus years of experience including case management in mental health and developmental disabilities, as well as having been a house parent for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Jim is excited to be working with Hillcrest Platte County because helping others lift themselves up brings him great joy and satisfaction. He looks forward to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives and working as a team to do so.
