When Danielle entered Hillcrest, she was scared, frustrated, distrustful and living in survival mode. She was also determined and committed to her success. Danielle set goals and refused to let anything stand in her way. While at HPC, she earned her CNA certification, worked faithfully at a job she didn’t enjoy until she could find something better, and eventually secured two healthcare positions she loves and excels at.
Along the way, Danielle navigated two car accidents (neither of which was her fault), paid off over $3,000 in debt, built savings of almost $4,000, and committed to improving her mental health with the support of our counseling center. At the same time, her daughter took her first steps, celebrated her first birthday, and grew from a baby into a thriving toddler. Danielle and her daughter now have their own home and she wakes up excited to go to work. This proves she was never behind, she was always becoming.
