Summary/Objective
Our Thrift Shops fund our supportive services that equip local homeless families and young adults with the life skills needed for long-term success.
The Supervisor/Volunteer Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest services. The position is responsible for the various tasks involved in the overall operation of the store, including managing volunteer assimilation/events/engagement/retention. Developing staff, our volunteer program, controlling expenses, loss prevention, and all aspects of merchandising and inventory mgmt. in adherence to all company policy/store standards.
Essential Functions

- Ensures that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest and by maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest services.
- Recruit, train, develop and communicate with all staff and volunteers as well as assess performance on a regular basis.
- Oversee Volunteer assimilation/events/engagement/retention.
- Open and closing procedures
- Plan and assigns daily goals, tasks and assignments.
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at POS registers as needed.
- Improving upon our volunteer I.T. system and best practices for Vol mgmt.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
