The Hillcrest Thrift Shop opened its doors in 2008 as an additional revenue stream to help fund our housing program. Our store is open to the public. Through a need-based voucher system, Hillcrest program graduates also receive help to ensure they’re equipped with essential items for their apartment upon program completion. Come share in the success of our families by serving at the Thrift Shop!

Lou Warner

Director, Hillcrest Thrift Operations

Lou has a passion for ministry, community outreach and not-for-profit work. He has served on the thrift shop management team with Hillcrest since 2009. He is married and has two daughters. Lou enjoys hunting, fishing and golf.  His Warner motto is “We are not placed on this earth for ourselves alone.”

Jim has been serving on the Hillcrest South Thrift Shop management team since 2009. Working for Hillcrest has been a blessing for Jim, blending his passion for ministry with his knowledge of the resale market.

Anna Marie DeMayo

Manager-Platte City

Anna Marie DeMayo is a life-long resident of the Northland, residing in Weston. She is the mother of four children, a master gardener, and animal advocate. She attends The Rock Congregation. After a 25 year tenure as a Interior Designer she took a leave to serve the Northlands homeless. She feels it is a tremendous blessing to use her God-given design talents to further the development of the Platte City Thrift shop.

Josh Reed

Assistant Manager-South Platte

Josh joined the Thrift Shop staff in 2012 to serve as Manager of the shop’s lower level. Josh is a native of the area and volunteerism has been his primary focus in life. Since high school, he has worked to equip himself to become a leader in the non-profit community service sector. Previously, he served full terms of duty with AmeriCorps State, AmeriCorps VISTA, the U.S. Peace Corps and is currently serving in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Cindy Hoffecker

Assistant Manager-South Platte

Cindy has served in this capacity since the store opened in 2008, and has been involved in the Volunteer Management field for over 20years. She loves camping, traveling and spending time with family. She also enjoys supporting volunteers while they work at the shop, and is actively recruiting new volunteers. You’re encouraged to stop by and see what all the excitement is about.

David Seim

Assistant Manager-Platte City

David Seim knows the joy of being in the place for which the Lord has prepared him. He brings to the Hillcrest team exceptional skills in interacting with people, genuine service, and caring. His heart for the Lord has both allowed him an empathy to relate to people as well encouraging his own personal growth. David knows that he is at Hillcrest for such a time as this and looks forward to seeing all the Lord will accomplish through the ministry.
